ABOUT US
Saint Rose Grammar School continues the rich tradition of academic excellence and faith-centered spiritual development that was established by our founders in 1921.
We educate the whole child, academically, socially, and spiritually. Our programs run from Pre-K through 8th grade and all students have the opportunity to enhance their love of learning through premier extracurricular activities, including academic clubs, athletics, performing arts, and enrichment programs.
PreK & Kindergarten
Pre-Kindergarten
Our full-day and half-day Pre-Kindergarten Program, for 3 to 4 year olds, focuses on the child's physical, social, emotional, and academic growth. We provide many opportunities for fun, active, hands-on learning. We encourage an atmosphere of creativity, understanding, and respect for others which fosters the growth of self-discipline and confidence.
Kindergarten
Our full-day Kindergarteners acquire the foundation for core academic skills through the study of Language Arts, mathematics, religion, social studies, Spanish, the arts, physical education, and computers. They also develop social skills fundamental to success throughout life.
Primary & Middle Grades
Students from 1st to 5th grade build on the foundation laid in Kindergarten. Basic skills continue to develop through structured activities, hands-on experiences and small and large group instruction.
Students participate in more STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math projects, as we continue to develop creative thinkers.
Upper School
During the middle school years of 6th through 8th grade, students build upon the basic skills and move toward a more abstract level of thinking. The middle school years can be a very transformative time and we meet the challenge by offering an expanded level of art, math, science, history, Spanish and language arts to meet their growing needs, all enhanced by multimedia and computer technology.
Enrichment
Programs
The Saint Rose Grammar School Enrichment Program offers a variety of fun and interesting courses not offered in our regular school curriculum, in a safe, stimulating, and happy environment.
Our enrichment offerings cover a variety of topics from science, technology, engineering, art, and math. We encourage all students to be active and our enrichment program is another way to help young developing minds explore all that the world has to offer.
Aftercare
Program
We offer affordable and reliable daily Aftercare services for our school families. The Aftercare Program strives to construct an enjoyable, child-centered, safe, and happy environment for all of our children, from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Children may participate in a variety of stimulating activities, including vigorous play through both indoor and outdoor games or they may participate in more quiet and individual activities such as homework time, reading, computers, music, and arts and crafts activities. Homework assistance is also available as needed.
